Come join us for a day on the Metridium Falcon!
She's a well maintained 26 foot Steiger Craft customized for diving. With her stable hull design and reliable Volvo engine we can get you to the best dive sites Monterey, Carmel, and *Big Sur have to offer.
This is not a cattle boat charter. All of our boat dives are guided, meaning you will be with an instructor and/or divemaster for your dives. For spearfishing charters your guide will be in the water with you as well.
Our preffered number of divers is 4 but we can accomate up to 6 (but it will be tight).
We like to focus on quality dives and will do our best to get you to the best dive site for that particular day. Weather and swell don't always cooperate so our dive sites vary from day to day and week to week. Our experienced captain and crew will do their best to make your dives safe and enjoyable.
What to expect:
We will pick you up at the K dock in Monterey Harbor at 8:30am with tanks and weights loaded on the boat. We'll help you load your remaining gear on the boat and get everything setup. We encourage you to suit up in your wetsuit/drysuit before we leave the dock to make more space on th boat. There is room for changing but it makes for an easier trip if your already in your suit.
We'll do a safety briefing on our way out of the harbor and head to our first dive site. Once at the dive site your divemaster will give a briefing about the site and what to expect along with instructions on entry and exit from the water.
At the end of your dive, you will be greeted at the large swim step and ladder by the captain or deck hand to assist boarding the boat. After a short debrief and tank swap we'll pull the anchor and head to our next dive spot (unless it was an epic dive and we all want to do a second dive at the same spot).
Once at the new spot we'll provide some light snacks and refresments along with a briefing for the second dive. We should end up back at the dock around 1:00pm.
