In the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will learn more specialized diving skills such as; Underwater Navigation, Deep Diving, Night Diving, Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, boat diving, etc.…
You will read Adventures in Diving, and complete a short knowledge review for each dive we will be doing. We will try to dive 3 different sites as well, this will let you experience more of the California coast than you were able to with your Open Water Class. Although you only need 5 dives to become an Advanced Open Water diver, in most cases there will be a 6th adventure dive since we will be at a dive site anyway.
This course will leave you with the confidence and skills you need to make more adventurous dives, especially around the Monterey Bay. This is also the next step in your diving journey to reach Master SCUBA Diver.
** Required personal gear: Mask, Fins, snorkel, booties, gloves (rentals available at extra cost)
** SCUBA rentals are included in the price. (tanks, BCD, Regulator/Computer, wetsuit)
** Must be 12 years old, and a certified Open Water Diver/Jr Open Water Diver.
