Our Divemaster program will prepare you for diving as a professional with the tools and skills you need to be come a working diver. Its not easy but is incredibly rewarding.
Below is a truncated list of the major requirements. During your time as a trainee you will have many more requirements that are too many to list here, but these are the main bullet points for the program.
As with all of our classes, you are paying for the training, but you must EARN the certification. For some this takes 6 weeks, and other maybe 6 months or longer. We will always do everything we can to make you the best possible dive professional we can.
In Water Requirements: Some of these are PADI requirements, all others are our own requirements that will make you a much more prepared and well rounded Divemaster. We will also prepare you for moving on to Open Water Instructor if thats is a path you want to take.
- *Assist with a full Open Water Diver course (two pool sessions and two ocean days.) We have no shortage of these classes to choose from.
- *Assist with Advanced Open Water class
- Gear troubleshooting workshop
- *Lead a guided dive for certified diver(s)
- Assist with Rescue Class
- *Guided Deep Dive
- Guided Boat dive
- Freediver Course (Complete and assist, included in price)
- * Conduct a Refresher for certified diver
- * = PADI Requirements.
Other Requirements:
- Dive Skills demonstration (27 open water skills done as demonstrations to students)
- 400m Swim test
- 15 minute tread (last two minutes hands out of water)
- 100m Tired diver tow
- 800m mask/snorkel and fins swim
- Equipment exchange (underwater)
- Create Emergency Assistance plan for a dive site
- Map a dive site
